With the little experience and equipment they had they created short comedy pieces that they shared with their peers. However within the first year, Jeremy was forced to leave the group to pursue a new life out of Oklahoma. Determined to persevere, Nick and Josh kept the Turkey Shirt name strong by continuing to write scripts and keeping the creativity following. In late 2007 they recruited James "Bubba" Wray to join them and the group began to hit a stride of success when at the same time Josh and fellow filmmaker Cody Bromley created the hit series, The I-106. The I-106 was Turkey Shirt's first attempt at a scripted serial project and it was such a success at Broken Arrow High School (the school they attended) that it was still strong a year after its birth. It was set at the high school and focused on the video production class offered there. Though the show was scripted it was based often on true events that took place during class. It was filmed documentary style as a tribute to the hit NBC show, The Office. The I-106 continued to last 2 seasons with the series finale scheduled to be released in May 2008.
